Work hard to earn popularity, don’t look for a cheap one, PGI Campaign Organization replies Okiyi…Describes his allegations against Prof. Ibe as a figment of the warped and drug induced imagination
Prof Gregory Ibe Campaign Organization has described the allegation levelled against the Governorship candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA in the recently concluded 2023 general election, Prof. Gregory Ibe by the APGA Abia state Vice Chairman, Ambassador Chigorom Okiyi as “unsubstantiated vituperation”.
Okiyi, had alleged that the refusal by Prof Ibe to release funds to the State Working Committee(SWC) of APGA was the reason for the party’s perceived unimpressive performance at the March 18, 2023 gubernatorial poll.
Mr. Sleek Ogwo, ANIPR, Director, Media & Publicity for Prof Gregory Ibe Campaign Organization who made available to newsmen in Umuahia, the reaction of the Organization, pointed out that instead of Okiyi to feel sorry for his greatest diservice that contributed in no small measure to the dwindling fortunes of APGA during the election, he resorted to seeking a cheap popularity which the Campaign Organization is not willing to give him.
The reason read, “We have read with disdain an online report which credits the embattled Abia state Vice Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Ambassador Chigorom Okiyi, with an allegation purporting a fairy tale refusal by Prof Ibe to release funds to the State Working Committee(SWC) of APGA as the reason for the party’s perceived unimpressive performance at the 18 March gubernatorial polls.
“While not desiring to dignify Ambassador Okiyi with a response, since we consider him a rudderless and misguided puppet in the hands of a deranged lunatic desperately needing psycho therapy, the weight of social responsibility placed upon as a highly responsive organization demands that we constantly clear the air of all erroneous impressions created by such dubious charlatans and election buccaneers, whose stock in trade is nothing but political merchandizing.
“We therefore wish to state as follows:
That contrary to the unsubstantiated vituperation of Ambassador Okiyi, Prof Ibe, maintains a healthy working relationship with the Rev Ehiemere led Abia SWC of APGA built on trust and mutual respect;
“That Prof Ibe is not aware of the purported N60 Million fraud by some members of the SWC as alleged by Ambassador Okiyi;
” That the insinuation of an imagined refusal by Prof Ibe to release campaign funds to the party is a figment of the warped and drug induced imagination of Ambassador Okiyi since all necessary financial and logistic support was made available for prosection of the election;
“That in the spirit of first removing the log in a person’s eye before attempting to help another extract a speck from his eye, Ambassador Okiyi should ab initio confess the distractive and destructive role played by his megalomaniac principal aided by the PDP, which has been widely adjudged as the greatest diservice that contributed in no small measure to the dwindling fortunes of APGA;
“That Ambassador Okiyi should leave Prof Ibe out off his quest to become Abia APGA state chairman and the currently ongoing petty ‘rofo-rofo’ squabbles between him and some officials which is reaching feverish pitch because of the approaching party congresses;
“That the public should therefore discountenance the uncoordinated rambling of Ambassador Okiyi since it is nothing but a shameful and disgraceful out of tune last dance by a puppet that is tied to a string which is unfortunately being held by an egoistic eccentric masquerading as saviour of the world”.
