The people of Nsirimo-Ubakala and Umuopara in Umuahia South L.G.A, of Abia State have been reminded that leadership should not be seen as a relay race where mediocrity is the order of the day.
Addressing respectively, the people of Nsirimo ward at Umumba-Nsirimo; Ohiaocha ward in Umunwanwa; Omegwu ward in Ehume Community Primary School; and Ogbodineze ward at Umuabali-Umuokorodo autonomous community, during the Abia Central Campaign Council of Prof. Gregory Ibe, the Zonal APGA Chairman, Abia South, Chief Lucky Erondu maintained that time has gone when the politics of godfatherism and brotherhood reigns, encouraging the eligible voters to promote credibility and meritocracy by voting in Prof. Greg Ibe as the next governor of the state.
Erondu who decried the plights faced by Abians, reminded the voters that their destiny solely lies in their hands.
“APGA and Prof. Greg Ibe has come to rebuild Abia and it’s high time everybody wake up and work together. We must sacrifice ourselves to liberate Abia”, he said.
Speaking also, the Leader of Abia Central ward tour of Prof. Greg Ibe Campaign Council, High Chief Enyinaya Onyekwere said that Prof. Greg Ibe, being mindful of the health challenges faced by most Abians embarked on free medical outreach across the state, because he believe that he is coming to lead the healthy and not the sick.
“We want a positive change in Abia and we need all Abians irrespective of Party affiliation to join hands with APGA and Professor Greg Ibe because our vote must count this time. God has destined APGA to occupy the Government House in the forthcoming election and Prof. Ibe is the right choice and the most credible governorship candidate”, Chief Onyekwere said.
In a brief remark, the Chairman of APGA Stakeholders who exposed and expounded the roles played by women in the growth, development and progress of the State, passionately appealed to them to go to all the nooks and crannies of the area preaching the message of Prof. Greg Ibe and need for positive and effective change in Abia.
He encouraged them not to sell their conscience by engaging in vote buying and selling but to effectively use their Permanent Voter Cards to vote out maladministration, bad governance and leadership and vote in transparency and accountability.
Lending his voice, the APGA Umuahia South State Constituency House of Assembly candidate, Chief Emmanuel Egwu assured that APGA is well prepared for the election.
While advising the party faithful to be prepared to welcome new members with the highest sense of accomodation, he described Prof. Ibe as the best bet for Abia electorate.

Nwanganga; Mr. Emeka Nwosu; APGA ward chairmen of Ohiaocha ward, Mr. Ihuoma Promise, Nsirimo ward, Mr. Chinedu Ahamba; Mr. Godwin Rowland, Omegwu ward; Ogbodineze (Ezeleke and Ogbodiukwu) ward, Mr. Chibueze Madubuko; Mr. Okechukwu Chikezie; Mrs Uloma Moses among others who spoke alleged that the ruling party, the PDP has deceived them for so long and they are set to fight the fight in the forthcoming general election.
