Vote in a righteous representation, Amalambu appeals to members of MCN Ihitte Ude Ofeme, AG Umuawa-Alaocha, Alike Positive Change, Ohuhu Welfare Union Women’s wing

Rev. Blessed Amalambu, the African Democratic Congress, ADC Umuahia North State Constituency House of Assembly candidate for March 11, 2023 poll has tasked the women  group, pressure group and the Church in Ohuhu to vote for him in the forthcoming election for quality representation.

Speaking respectively at Methodist Church Nigeria, MCN Ihitte Ude Ofeme; Assemblies of God Church, AG Umuawa-Alaocha; Amauhie hall and Umuyota civic hall during a visit to Ohuhu Welfare Union Women’s wing, Alike Positive Change and the Church, Amalambu pledged to raise the bar of political representation in the Ohuhu axis of Abia state.

While he expressed his sadness that no candidate from Nkwoachara axis has had the chance to earn a seat in the state House of Assembly since the birth of democracy despite its overflowing wealth of human and material capital, Amalambu said apart from the divine assignment given to him by God to join the race, that was one of the cardinal objectives behind his desire to run for a seat in the Assembly come March 11, 2023.

He said, “I am seeking for a seat in the Abia State House of Assembly as a representative of our people from Umuahia North State Constituency to raise the bar of political representation, demonstrate leadership capacity that will surpass our previous and current experience, as well as address the weaknesses of previous and ongoing administrations”.

Amalambu who assured that he would deliver dividends of democracy to the constituents, when duly elected, said it would be in the best interest of the people to send a corrupt free candidate into a law-making institution, adding, “I’m someone with a multidisciplinary background and I will use this to the advantage of the people”.

“I’m corrupt free. I will not disappoint the Church, I will not disappoint our mothers, I will not disappoint our youths. Also, I didn’t come to try, I have come to win and I will return home with the INEC House of Assembly Certificate of Return. I am not a novice in the legislative processes. I am bold and a fearless human being and I am the best, most competent, articulate and most credible candidate for this election. Votes in a righteous representation”, Amalambu passionately appealed to the members of MCN Ihitte Ude Ofeme, AG Umuawa-Alaocha, Ohuhu Welfare Union (Women’s wing) and Alike Positive Change.

In their remarks, the Very Rev. Jonathan Egbe, Presbyter of All Saints Methodist Church Ihitte Ude Ofeme, Mrs Comfort Ayoka, Ohuhu Welfare Union Women’s wing President General and Alike Positive Change Chairman, Mr. Chidozie Ukachi, said their prayer is not only to elect a candidate that will liberate Ohuhu from bad representation, but to elect a candidate who knows the rudiments of the law.

They also said that they desired a change in all the elective positions, a change that will give birth to growth, progress and development, and a change that will give hope to the masses.

“Our prayer is to have Christians in the law making arm of the government to guard against bills that will be inimical to the existence of the Church, the common man and the entire society”, they said respectively.

Specifically, the Very Rev. Egbe who pointed out that the Church has awoken politically to elect those on God’s divine assignment, reminded the congregation that the Church has an important role to play in the forthcoming election.  

Alike Positive Change Chairman, Mr. Chidozie Ukachi, in his speech also encouraged the eligible voters in Alike to wake up and maximize the opportunity given to them and vote in Amalambu, as the first lawmaker from Nkwoachara ward.
