Unremoved Refuse: ASEPA Set To Sanction Offenders

The Deputy General Manager, Abia State Environmental Protection Agency ASEPA, Aba Zone and environs, Hon Chief Rowland Nwakanma has charged the agency’s Taskforce Teams in the city to apprehend defaulters who flout the evacuation of refuse directives from the agency.
To this end, he directed that all business owners/Landlords who have desilted drainages in front of their buildings/shops to evacuate the debris within the next 48hours with effect from yesterday (July 20) or face serious sanctions from the agency.
In a statement he personally endorsed and made available to newsmen in Aba, Hon. Nwakanma stated that the era of piling up debris from drainages along the roads in Aba is over.
The ASEPA boss seized the opportunity to congratulate the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu on his most recent award as the Vanguard Governor of the year.
He stated that the governor through his developmental programmes in the state especially in the area of small and medium enterprises, has impacted the lives of many Abia Youth as they now own and run businesses with ease, adding that the Governor deserved the Award just as he thanked the Management of Vanguard Newspaper for finding Governor Ikpeazu worthy.
