Abia State Government has directed the contractor handling the illegal structure at the Ekeoha Shopping Center to stop work immediately.

Addressing a mammoth crowd and traders who trooped out en masse to receive him at the Ekeoha Shopping Center Aba, the Abia State Deputy Governor, Engineer Ikechukwu Emetu notified them that his boss and State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, has directed the immediate dissolution of all existing market committees in Abia State and has also announced the suspension of all form levies.

He reiterated that the present government would not tolerate those building shops an on approve place 

Speaking also at Ariaria international market, the Abia Deputy Governor warned those who still collect illegal levies to desist from doing so.
