SSG, Rep. Nkole, D.Gov’s Wife, Others Salute Abia First @56

The Secretary to Abia State Government, Barr. Chris Ezem has disclosed that Vicar Hope Foundation, a pet project of Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu, wife of the State Governor, designed to fight and eliminate sickle cell cases in “our polity” has continued to attract national and international accolades.

Barr. Ezem, who warmly felicitated with Mrs Ikpeazu as she marks her birthday in a goodwill message made available to newsmen by his Public Relations Officer, Comrade John Emejor, described the celebrant as a notable woman of uncommon pedigree, whose lifestyle is solely devoted in transforming the cause of women and children in the state.


He further added that her rich milk of kindness has ceaselessly brought succour as well as provide shelter to numerous widows in the state.


The SSG prayed that Almighty God will bless her with many more years in good health and sound mind.

In a related development, the member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole has noted that Mrs Ikpeazu has through her philanthropist gestures, and motherly dispositions impacted towards a serene society.

The federal lawmaker while thanking God for adding a new age to the already illustrious years of the University of Nigeria Alumni, according to a press release made available to newsmen by his Media Assistant, Prince Udensi, prayed for the good Lord to supplement her in grace and in health, to continue in her alluring service to Abia State, and humanity at large. 

Also in her felicitation, the wife of the Deputy Governor of Abia State, Lady Vivien Oko Chukwu pointed out that the life-touching contributions of Mrs Ikpeazu as the First  Lady of Abia State since 2015 are not hidden as they remained tall testaments of her deep concern and motherly care for the people of the State especially the downtrodden and vulnerable groups.

The release she personally signed and made available to newsmen in Umuahia, partly read: “Nnemukwu and Mama Abia, we cannot but join your family members, friends, well-wishers and indeed all people of goodwill to thank and glorify God for His uncommon benevolence upon you and family all these years.


“Therefore, as we joyfully celebrate you on this auspicious Birthday Anniversary, we pray God Almighty to graciously grant you many many more exciting and glorious years ahead in good health and exemplary leadership for the common good of Abians in particular and Nigerians in general”.


Meanwhile, Staff of the Office of the Wife of Governor, have expressed gratitude to almighty God for granting their beloved First lady another year full of grace.


In a release signed on their behalf by the Chief Press Secretary Chika Ojiegbe, the staff, appointees and personnel deployed to the Office of the Wife of Governor defined Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu as a mother who meets everyone at the point of need. 


They said the First lady has impacted positively on the lives of many persons describing her as a woman full of grace, an epitome of humility, an embodiment of generosity and someone who teaches and practices inclusiveness and does not discriminate in anyway.


They wished her happy birthday and prayed that God will continue to use her as an instrument of mercy and to uplift the vulnerable and less privileged.
