Umuahia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture UCCIMA has called on its members and the business community in Umuahia and Abia State to rededicate themselves to the overall development of the State’s economy especially at this time, strong leadership is essential.

In an Easter message made available to newsmen in Umuahia, the Chief Servant of UCCIMA, Chief Chidi Nkem Aruoma recalled that in two years ago, COVID 19 seriously affected the world economy, export earnings and revenue and the Small Business Owners including the Organized Private Sector also felt this sudden level of pain like never before.

Aruoma appreciated God that in the midst of the challenging and uncertain times, He made His people to experience the peace and love of “Our never-failing God”.

Aruoma who reminded Abians that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is a message of new beginnings, renewed hope, restoration and salvation for humanity, pointed out that Easter means many things to different people, but to the members of UCCIMA, it signifies the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, redemption over condemnation, and hope over despair, and an enduring hope for humanity.

The release partly read, “I wish you all God’s peace that is beyond human understanding, as you gather with your families, loved ones, and friends over the Easter weekend to remember our Lord’s sacrificial death and resurrection.

“In the spirit of Easter, may we learn to live together and tolerate each other.

“I also extend best wishes to our Christian community and to the entire nation for a Happy and Holy Easter 2023”.
