The Umuahia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, UCCIMA has encouraged the Small business owners and artisans to help enthrone good governance and effective leadership in Nigeria in the February 25, 2023 Presidential election.
Briefing a cross section of newsmen in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, the UCCIMA Chief servant, Chief Chidi Nkem Aruoma also called on the electorate to consider candidates’ competence and credibility over party affiliation or sentiment, while voting in the National Assembly, Gubernatorial and State House of Assembly polls.

Aruoma also urged the Nigerian youth to eschew religious, ethnic and regional sentiment, and vote for a competent presidential candidate who has the full knowledge of the economic and security challenges confronting the nation.
” The electorate should shun parochial sentiments and vote candidates with competence in the February 25 and March 11, 2023 general elections. They should vote in candidates who are fully prepared and ready to serve the people.
Those who have the capacity to deliver, should be supported because they will be a good ambassador of Nigeria and their constituents, if given the opportunity to serve”, Aruoma pointed out.
Aruoma expressed optimism that Nigeria will have a clearer economic direction after the elections, with the right leaders in power.
The UCCIMA boss seized the opportunity to appreciate the Abia State Government for making Friday 24th FEBRUARY 2023, a public holiday to enable Abians travel to their various voting locations to enable them cast their votes.
