A Rotarian and the immediate past Chairman of Umuahia North Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM Eze Pastor Philip Ajomiwe has expressed optimism that the new administration of Dr. Alex Otti and Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu would take Abia State to higher heights.

In a congratulatory message to the Abia Governor and his deputy on their successful inauguration, Eze Ajomiwe, who is the traditional ruler of Oriendu autonomous Community, Ohuhu clan noted that he is particularly grateful to God for the election and inauguration of “very capable hands to pilot the ship of Abia State at this time.”

He urged Abia residents and citizens to give their maximum support to the new leaders to perform and recover the state towards the path of security, socio-economic revival, unity and development.

Ajomiwe, passionately appealed to the Governor to look into the affairs of the traditional rulers particularly their welfare and carry them along on every programme that affects them.

The traditional ruler who is also a renowned agriculturist appreciated Dr. Otti on his plans to launch a N10 billion Micro, Small and Medium scale Enterprises (MSME) financing scheme in the state before the end June, 2023 and encouraged him to look inwardly and fashion out modern ways to boost agriculture in the state.

He maintained that it is necessary for the other political parties in the state to rally round the new governor, to achieve the desired unity, peace and prosperity among Abia citizens.

Meanwhile, a release which emanated from the King’s palace and which was jointly signed by His Honour Joshua Eberendu, President General Oriendu autonomous community and Palace Secretary, Hon. Chimezie Onukagha and made available to our correspondent, expressed the gratitude of Oriendu autonomous Community to God, for giving Abia, Dr. Alex Otti, whose mantra has remained, “Abia First”.
