Okonjo-Iweala, Gov. Soludo, Prof. Nwajuba, Others to grace MOUAU Founder’s Day/Pearl Anniversary Ceremony.

Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike MOUAU has lined up activities in celebration of her 30th anniversary ceremony (Founder’s Day/Pearl Anniversary Ceremony).

The programmes which was segmented into Student’s Day; Alumni Day; Open Day and Awards Day will kick off on Tuesday, 29th August, 2023.
According to the release made available to our correspondent by the University’s spokesperson, Mr. Patrick Oparah, there will be a press conference by the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe in his conference room on Tuesday, 29th August, 2023, which will be followed by a novelty match at the MOUAU mini stadium, in the evening.
On Wednesday, which is the Alumni Day, there will be an interdenominational service at Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim auditorium. Shortly after, the Alumni session will take place.
Thursday, the Open Day, will feature the Founder’s Day lecture, which will be under the Chairmanship of of Prof. Chinedum Nwajuba, former Vice Chancellor of AE-FUNAI and former Pro Chancellor, Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru, Kebbi State.
Prof. Uchenna Nwachukwu from Southern Connecticut University, USA will review the theme of the ceremony tagged, “Leadership, Agriculture, and Entrepreneurship – The Dr. Michael Iheonukara Okpara Model for National Growth and Identity”, in the event which will take place at Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim auditorium.
His Excellency, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, Executive Governor of Anambra State and former Governor Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN will be the keynote speaker, while Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director General World Trade Organization, WTO will deliver a special goodwill message. Shortly after, there will be an exhibition at the compound of Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim auditorium.
On Friday, 1st September, 2023, there will be a Jumat prayer at the University Central Mosque. After which, dignitaries/personalities will be gathered at Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim auditorium for award presentations and entertainment.
