NDE Flags Off Training Workshop On Solar Power Installation And Maintenance In Abia State
The National Directorate of Employment, NDE has flagged off a 5 day intensive theory and practical training workshop on Solar Power Installation and Maintenance in Abia State.
Flagging off the workshop at Ever More Events Centre, Isi Court, Umuahia South LGA, the Director General of NDE, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo represented by the Abia State Coordinator of NDE, Mr Chima Uzoma Ibeh disclosed that the training would be enhanced with a three months internship programme where the trainees would be posted to some established solar energy installation and maintenance companies for additional on the job practical work experience.
He urged the programme beneficiaries who were mainly unemployed young graduates of science and engineering disciplines from polytechnics and universities to take the training seriously and at the end create gainful employment for themselves and others.
Speaking at the flag off event, one of the resource persons from the Abuja Graduate School which is the partner training consultants to the training programme, Engr. Brian Kpokovwe pledged that his team will do their best in the programme delivery using the best training pedagogy.
It was gathered that the programme participants would be served breakfast and lunch during the 5 days training workshop and also training allowances would be paid at the end of the training.
