Multiple Zoning Of 2023 Abia Guber Seat Unhealthy, IVG Warns
A pressure group with the name, Igbo Vanguard Group, IVG has expressed fears that the recent guber zoning arrangement of the Abia State Working Committee of the PDP might create confusion and affect the infrastructural development of the state.
Interacting with our reporter in Umuahia, Engr. James Nnadozie Uchegbuo, the President General of the group observed that Abia State is a work in progress and any attempt to reset the progressive clock might be inimical to the process.
His words, “A true patriotic Abians’ priority should be how to make the State look better because presently Abia State is not properly placed in terms of infrastructural development.
“When you toss a coin up according to Physics, it is on the interest of the coin to fall back to the ground and enjoy the dignity and integrity of the law of gravity and by empirical logic, that’s justice.
“So, the Igbo Vanguard Group strongly condemn in totality the 2023 governorship zoning arrangement by a particular political party in Abia State, that will affect the democratic and infrastructural development of Abia in 2023. We want peaceful transition of power from one senatorial district to another in the spirit of brotherhood, friendship, maturity, equity, equality, fairness, fair play and justice”.
The IVG PG called on Abia elders and stakeholders to rise up and promote and sustain the peaceful Abia.
