Let’s Work As A Family, Hon. Nwankpa Tasks Housing Ministry
The newly sworn in Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Chinagorom Nwankpa has vowed to leave the Housing Ministry better than he met it.
Speaking shortly after he was received by the management team of the Ministry at the Nnamdi Azikwe secretariat, Umuahia, Abia State, Hon. Nwankpa assured that he will work in harmony with the staff as seen in a genuine family setting.
Nwankpa who also appreciated God and Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for assigning the Housing Ministry to him, vowed to do his best to ensure that the Governor did not regret posting him to the ministry.
Nwankpa who went down memory lane to recall the cordiality that had existed between him and the civil servants both as an elected and transition committee Chairman in the local government system, said, “I love working with civil servants and I see them as members of my family”.
He encouraged them to come up with best ideas needed to move the Housing Ministry forward.
Responding, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Housing, Engr. Thomas Okoro pledge unflinching cooperation of the management team and staff of the Ministry to the new Commissioner, Hon. Chinagorom Nwankpa.
“We will work as a team and we will give you the required support needed to move the Housing Ministry forward”, Engr. Okoro assured Hon. Nwankpa.
