IWU Hails FG Over Evacuation Of Nigerian Students From War Torn Ukraine

The Igbo World Union, IWU has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for showing positive concerns about the safety of Nigerian students in Ukraine following the conflcit with Russia.
Recall that the former Nigeria Ambassador to Japan, Professor Gana Yisa had said there are about 8,000 Nigerians in Ukraine; and President Muhammadu Buhari had also approved $8.5 million for immediate evacuation of over 5,000 Nigerians that flee the Russia, Ukrainian war to Poland, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia.

The IWU President General and Gburugburu Ndi Igbo Dum, Sir Mishak Nnanta KJW KSM JP who lauded the Presidency in a release he made available to newsmen, maintained that evacuating Nigerian students from Ukraine is the single most effective response to the conflict.
Nnanta also commended President Muhammadu Buhari for declaring that his administration wouldcontinue to defend Nigerians wherever they may be.
He called on Nigerians to always pray for the government of President Muhammadu Buhari as his administration meant well for the citizens.

Meanwhile on Friday (yesterday) Nigerians welcomed the first, second and subsequently the third batches of their fellow citizens who are running away from war-torn Ukraine.
