Institute Calls For Synergy To Boost The Abia Tourism Sector
A security Institute in Umuahia, Trustlink Birds, Animals, Guards and Dogs Institute, a subsidiary of Trustlink Ventures (Nig.) Ltd in affiliation with Tex American Investigative and Security Services incorporated, USA, has called for a synergy with the Abia State Government on the tourism sector.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Institute, Ambassador Chukwunazom Cyra Obi who made the call in Umuahia, while interacting with a cross section of Journalists, maintained that tourism is capable of generating the major revenue for the State, if properly harnessed.
He said that his Institute strategically located in Umuahia, housed dogs, monkeys, ostriches, peacocks, geeses, ganders, goats, guinea fowl, turtles and tortoises, adding, “We planned to bring in more animals and as an Institute that promotes tourism, all we need is Government recognition. We believe we must make an indelible mark to support the government”.
His words, “We are actually motivated to investing in tourism, to encourage students and support the growth of the tourism sector in Abia State. Students come here for excursion and Industrial Attachment. Veterinary and Medicine Students, Animal Husbandry and Agric. Students also come for their practicals. We have laboratories and veterinary clinic.
“This Institute qualified us as employers of labour. We have more than 120 staff working in different departments and we have succeeded in solving unemployment in Abia State and Nigeria to a large extent and have contributed to reducing crime and other vices in the society.
“The government alone cannot solve our problems. We need to support and boost our Internally Generated Revenue”.
Amb. Obi appreciated the Abia State Government for its support, which exposed him to the Western partners, as he rightly put it, “The Abia State Government made me a security and dogs services consultant”.
