In this regard, I remain grateful to the entire members of the National Working Committee of our great party, APGA ably led by the National Chairman, Ozonkpu Victor Oye, members of our State Working Committee under the leadership of Rev. Augustine Ehiemere. Thanks for the wisdom of assembling all aspirants together to sign a peace accord thereby creating a level playing field for the elections.
Indeed, it was a keenly contested election that paraded an ‘A’ list of political heavyweights. I am humbled being declared winner in a such a hot contest.

To our leader High Chief Chikwe Udensi, our own General Ijioma Nwokoro Ijioma and my brother, the legal icon, Barr. Etigwe Uwa, SAN. In the actual sense you are all winners as I make bold to declare today that there is NO VICTOR NO VANQUISHED!

I therefore extend the hand of fellowship to you my brothers as fellow winners and co-labourers and implore you to join me in the task of salvaging Abia from imminent collapse. As we begin the final journey of redeeming Abia my remain open to receive and welcome those unique ideas that can help us realize the NEW ABIA of our dream.

How can I forget the role played by our delegates who not only dislocated themselves from their comfort zones but also conducted themselves peacefully throughout the entire exercise. I hail you all!

And to the security agencies, Police, Army, DSS, NSCDC, Navy, etc, thank you for helping maintain the peace.

Let me also use this opportunity to appreciate the labours of our team members in Abia Crusaders Foundation, ACF Great Abia Project Movement, GAPM and Gregory Ibe Campaign Organization, GICO throughout the 184 wards and 17 Local Government Areas of Abia State. To our women and youth leaders in all pro PGI Organizations, thank you… Unu Nwe Akaa!
Umunnem, indeed today is a good day to be an Abian. I want to profoundly appreciate Abians in general for their patience and prayers so far. I assure you that God has heard our collective prayers and has subsequently commenced the salvation of our state. Since it will not be an APGA affair alone. I therefore request all hands to come on deck for us to rewrite the story of our dear State. Irrespective of the party you are affiliated to this is the time to think less of personal interests and more of our collective aspirations as a people destined by God for greatness. As the lamentation of Abians of 24 years comes to an end shortly, I implore you to weep no more, EBEZINA, NIHI NA CHUKWU NO NSO! OGA EHICHE ANYA MMIRI ANYI NILE! For in the horizon I see the emergence of a brand new Abia with limitless possibilities.
