Guber Poll: Eze Oriaku congratulates Abia state governor-elect


The Traditional Ruler of Umudikeukwu modern kingdom, Oboro clan in Ikwuano L.G.A, of Abia State, HRH Eze Chaplain Ben Ogechi Oriaku has described the landslide victory recorded by the Dr. Alex Otti and Labour party during the Governorship and House of Assembly elections, as the handwork of majority of Abians who valued the positive contributions of the party to not only Abia but the nation building.

While congratulating Otti in a press release he made available to newsmen in Umuahia, the Royal father who also eulogized the sterling leadership qualities of the State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, observed that Abiand are now wise and know what is good for them and that has accounted for the massive victory recorded by the Labour Party in Ikwuano and across the State.

Eze Oriaku, the Deputy Chairman of Ikwuano Council of Traditional Rulers, who acknowledged that the election was conducted in a violence-free atmosphere, appreciated the Almighty God for the current development.

He said, “As a Traditional Ruler and leader of Umudikeukwu modern kingdom, I and my Community will continue to work assiduously with the new Governor of the State for the development of our society and the state as a whole”.

Eze Oriaku who appreciated the spirit of sportsmanship exhibited by most of the Governorship candidates from the various political parties, added that the election of Otti was the will of Almighty God, who “gives power to whom He wishes at the time He wishes”.

He prayed God to help and protect the Governor-elect to be able to steer the helm of affairs of the state for the well-being of all citizens.

Eze Oriaku who also congratulated the Ikwuano State Constituency House of Assembly elect, Engr. Boniface Isienyi, and other House of Assembly members-elect, urged them to reciprocate the gesture by ensuring dividends of democracy.

He described the recent Governorship and State House of Assembly election as the most peaceful in the state.
