Go For The Peace Of The Land, Methodist Bishop Urges Moslems

The President Vision Africa International and Co-chair Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, (IDFP), Bishop Dr. Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha has urged Muslims across board to use the occasion of Eid-el-kabir to sue for peace, unity and progress of the country.

In a congratulatory message titled: “Eid-el-kabir Greetings to Muslim faithful”, made available to newsmen in Umuahia, the Methodist Bishop advised Moslems  to render fervent prayers against enemies of the nation.

Bishop Onuoha who felicitated with the Muslim Ummah as they celebrate the occasion, described the Muslim Eid as a sacrifice that symbolizes complete obedience, selflessness and unadulterated submission to the will of the Almighty God as epitomised in the offering, charging them to exhibit these virtues.

The Global Peace Award Winner, 2013, urged Muslims across board to use the occasion to sue for peace, unity and progress of the country, advising them to render fervent prayers against enemies of the nation.
He wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful and memorable celebration, expressing optimism that the lessons and spirit of the sacrifice so rendered would foster and propel the development of the country.
The statement partly read: “As the Muslim faithful commemorate this historic event, this is wishing you all a peaceful and memorable celebration with prayer that the lessons and spirit of the sacrifice be employed in propelling the development of our dear nation”.
