The Igbo World Union, IWU has stated that the emergence of the governor-elect of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti and his deputy was an opportunity for the two leaders to usher in golden windows of opportunities towards socio-economic and political prosperity of the state.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Umuahia, the President General of the Union, His Imperial Majesty Sir Mishak Nnanta KJW KSM JP Gburugburu Ndigbo Dum, IWU praised the people of Abia for their political awareness and for taking their destinies into their own hands by choosing those who govern them.

IWU PG who reasoned that Abia is in dire need of peace and unity at this critical period of political experience, appealed to the other guber candidates and supporters to accept the reality of the latest developments in the interest of the state.

Nnanta expressed belief that the Governor-elect will effectively utilise his wealth of experience as a successful Banker and entrepreneur in the management of human and material resources to further develop the state economic-wise.

He assured that the Union would continue to pray and support the governor-elect toward the growth, development and progress of the state.

Nnanta, also seized the opportunity to congratulate Chief Obi Aguocha on his victory at the February 25, 2023 Ikwuano/ Umuahia Federal Constituency election.
