Education Summit To Hold In Abia – Education Commissioners

Abia State Ministries of Basic Education and Post Basic Education in collaboration with CENPAD has kicked off activities for the year 2022 Abia Education summit slated for 27th April, 2022 at International Conference Centre, Umuahia.
The summit will include book exhibitions, arts and crafts exhibitions from different schools, awards of honour and recognition for individuals and corporate organizations that have contributed immensely to the development of education in Abia State.
Briefing newsmen in his office on the objectives of the summit, the Commissioner for Basic Education, Hon. Ukwu Rocks Emma revealed that the summit is geared towards the emergence of the Abia Education sector plan and Abia Education Law.
He observed that these two important documents necessary for the development of the Education sector must form part of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s legacy, whom he described as “Education friendly and a scholar in governance”.
He thanked the governor for taking the initiatives and at the same time providing the needed support to achieve this laudable project.
Lending his voice, the Commissioner for Post Basic Education, Barr. I.C. Mark urged the staff of the Education Ministries to reciprocate this gesture of the governor by working hard to ensure that the summit achieves the set objectives.
Also, the Permanent Secretary, Eze Ajuzie assured all Abians that the Management will do their best to implement the summit outcomes.
The summit consultant, Mr. Onuoha Oliver further called on individuals and corporate organizations wishing to make contributions to the Abia Education sector plan and Abia Education Law to do so through memoranda address to the Commissioner for Basic Education and Post Basic Education on or before the 20th of April, 2022.
