Don’t allow politicians use your children for electoral fraud, NOA advises parents

The State Director National Orientation Agency (NOA) Abia State Directorate, Dame Ngozi Okechukwu has called on  traditional rulers and mothers not to allow politicans use their children as thugs to forment trouble in the forthcoming general election.

Dame Okechukwu who was speaking at the palace of the traditional ruler of Amapu Ntigha ancient kingdom in Isialangwa North L.G.A, of Abia State, Eze Benson Asonye during an advocacy visit on Voter education, encouraged the traditional rulers to unite their subjects especially the youth with the message of tolerance and peaceful coexistence now that the 2023 general election is fast approaching.

 The NOA Director who spoke through an Assistant Director in the Agency, Mr Ndubuisi  Anozie, harped on the need to reject Politicians who are out to manipulate the citizens for their selfish ambitions and sue for peace and tolerance during the election.

Speaking also, during an interactive session with wives of Traditional Rulers in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area during their monthly general meeting at the council headquarters in Okpuala Ngwa, Dame Okechukwu called on mothers not to allow politicians ruin the destiny of their children by using them as political thugs to achieve their  selfish ambitions.

The NOA Director who was also represented at the occasion by Mr. Goddy Onwuchekwa, the Community Orientation and mobilization officer (COMO), Isiala Ngwa North LGA, urged the mothers to preach the message of peace and tolerance to their children, families and communities. 

Responding respectively, the Traditional ruler of Amapu Ntigha ancient kingdom, HRM Eze Benson Asonye and the chairperson wives of Traditional Rulers of Isiala Ngwa North L.G.A, Ugoeze Ihuoma Aliche commended the National Orientation Agency, for the advocacy visits on voter education and pledged to uphold the tenants of peace and mutual coexistence and promised to convey the the message to their communities.

Also the NOA carried the sensitization programme to members of  the National Union Road Transport Worker Union, NURTW Amaorji Market branch; Executive members of motorcycle and tricycle branch.

Responding on behalf of others, Mr. Chinwe Ndudim commended NOA for coming to sensitise their members on how to vote and participate in the forthcoming general elections.

The members promised to maintain peace and to vote a persons of integrity who will bring dividends of democracy to the people.
