Birthdays: RC Umuahia Govt. House Celebrates members in style
Abia State was buzzing with excitement as Rotary Club of Umuahia Government House, District 9142 hosted its iconic Birthday anniversary celebration of its members born between January and May in the Capital City, Umuahia on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

The event was a fusion of nice looking attires worn by members and guests, music, assorted drinks and food, serving local and international delicacies.

From gorgeous light installations in the hall, and picturesque tablescapes to delectable dishes and artistic birthday cake, the Club showcased plenty of exciting/ distinguished ways for the milestone celebration.
The event was a true reflection of the personalities being celebrated, with elegance, charm, and panache on full display. It was a moment that those who attended would not forget in a hurry.
Also, the event was attended by high-profile guests and the ambience was filled with excitement, laughter, and great music that momentarily, got most people up and dancing.

In grand style; the Synergizer President of the Club, Rtn. Olugu Kalu Ugba, who is also celebrating his birthday was surrounded by his Club members who were born between January and May and guests who all came out to celebrate with them.


For the President, it was a day to remember, as he also celebrated his contributions to selfless service to humanity as well as his impact in the Club.
He pointed out that Rotarians have the culture of celebrating the Club member’s birthday and anniversary every month and the primary reason for the event was to celebrate Club members born between January and May.

In a brief speech, the immediate past president of the Club, Rtn. Emeka Wachuku, said, ” It always feels nice, when you invite fellow Rotarians, family, friends and guests to have warm hospitality. This initiative by our President and his Board should deserve compliments and I must appreciate them for all their efforts and hospitality”.

Members who were celebrated during the event include: Rtn. Ukachi Amala; Rtn. Vivian Iro Ucheime; Rtn. Uchechi Amaramiro; Rtn. Helen Olugu Kalu; Rtn. Ogechi Umeh, Rtn: Rita Olujie; Rtn. Ken Onwuka; Rtn. Eze Chikamnayo, a Royal father, Rtn. King Kalu Ikenga and the Synergizer Secretary of the Club, Rtn. Nnenna Anyah.

Rotary International Past Assistant Governors, PAG Chimdi Oluoha and PAG Ogechi Oguama; Synergizer Presidents of Rotary Club of Umuahia, Rtn. Adaeze Iroegbu, PHF and Umudike Central, Rtn. Vivian Anyaegbu, a former member who represented Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, Hon. Oluchi Ibeji, among others attended the event which also featured fundraising for charity.
