Addressing the recipients of various awards from the Women Ministry, Anglican communion at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Ubakala in Umuahia South L.G.A, of Abia State during a special service, the wife of the Vicar, Mrs Chinyere Emeruwa also advised denominational entities, that If they want the best return on investment, that they should invest in people also.

Emeruwa who exposed and expounded the essence of working in the vineyard of God selflessly and the rewards therein, said, “We will harvest countless blessings as we invest in God”.

“God uses men to fulfill His divine purpose on earth and building the Church of God is one of those things required from the people of God. For the Church to be built, decorated and made comfortable for the congregation to worship and praise God, money is required and it’s from people not animals or stones”, Mrs Emeruwa further buttressed.

Lending her voice, Mrs Patience Ekwuribe, who is also a clergy’s wife said the Women Ministry decided to honour the selected personalities based on their selfless contributions to the Church.

“We find out that some of them are role models, they have a lot to offer to the masses, so following the Biblical injunction, we decided to appreciate them”, Mrs Ekwuribe further disclosed.

She encouraged the congregation to always look out for people to help, even as they contribute to the growth and development of the Church.

Her words, “Giving gifts to the Church or supporting the Church is not the ultimate, when you are supporting the Church, back it up with good behaviour; encourage the people that needs help too”.
