ASEPA Sends Warning Signal Ahead Of Monthly Sanitation Exercise

The Deputy General Manager Abia State Environmental Protection Agency, ASEPA Aba zone and Environs, Chief Rowland Nwakanma has charged all ASEPA Taskforce Teams to apprehend and prosecute sanitation offenders in the Sanitation Mobile Courts.

This directive from the ASEPA DGM came ahead of Saturday, 26th June, 2021 monthly sanitation exercise.

In a press statement signed by Deacon Ihendinihu Alozie Onyenkachi, Director of Operations and made available to newsmen in the state, Chief Nwakanma however called on all Aba residents to participate actively during the monthly environmental cleanup excercise by ensuring that they clean their surroundings within the hours of the exercise.

He further ordered an immediate stop to bringing into the Ministry of Works Premises, Aba impounded vehicles by any government agency or group with effect from Friday 25th June 2021; and directed the Chief Security Officer of The premises to ensure that all impounded vehicles parked within the premises are removed within 24 hours.

Chief Nwakanma warned all those engaged in this act to desist forthwith, stating that the Ministry of Works premises, Aba is not an approved garage for impounded vehicles.

He wondered why people take laws into their hands and further charged all the security men to apprehend any one or group who flouts this directive.
