Amaeke- Ozu Abam- Ohafia Road And Agborji Abiriba-Okagwe Road Wears A New Look, As Okahia Kingdom Honours Rt. Hon. Nkole

The Ameke- Ozu Abam- Ohafia road is currently wearing a new look, following the midas touch by the member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia federal consituency, Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole who facilitated the work. 

Reacting to the development, Comrade Prince Udensi, the media assistant to the lawmaker disclosed that the project was in furtherance of Rt. Hon. Nkole’s giant strides in the area of road Infrastructure having repositioned the federal consituency to a project hub and reconstruction site through his unprecedented and unparalleled  representation.

He further disclosed that Rt. Hon. Nkole attracted the construction of Agborji Abiriba-Okagwe Road in line with the request of the Agborji Abiriba community in 2018 under Anambara Imo River Basin Development Authority, which, sadly the funding was not adequate .

He said Rt. Hon. Nkole had again in the 9th National Assembly facilitated the road project in the 2021 budget and was glad that work has commenced in phases.
He said currently, work is in progress with box culvert constructed over the Ogbele stream and over 1Km of drainage delivered on the both sides of the road and the commencement of Earth works.

He pointed out that Rt. Hon. Nkole was optimistic that a new lease of life especially ease of vehicular access by the road users mostly farmers and house owners on the axis would be realized before the Yuletide.

He said the federal lawmaker was appreciative of the unflinching support the Agborji community has been giving to the contractors in the execution of the project.

In another development, the Okahia Autonomous council of Ndi eze led by His Royal Majesty Eze OJ Ananaba who doubles as the chairman of Obingwa Local Government Council Of Traditional Rulers has honoured Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole with the Chieftaincy title of Ihe (light) of Okahia ancient kingdom in commemoration of his 20th year enthronement as the Eze Okahia 1 Of OKAHIA Autonomous community and his 67th birthday anniversary.

The event which took place at the palace of the traditional ruler in Obingwa LGA of Abia State saw the lawmaker represented by Hon. Chief Kingsley Eke Imaga, Commissioner for Public Utilities Abia State.

While thanking the traditional institution for finding him worthy, Rt. Hon. Nkole congratulated Eze Ananaba on the double celebrations and prayed God that his reign would be very long in sound health and wisdom.

The Chairman of The Abia State Traditional Rulers council; His Eminience Eze Amara Joseph Nwabekee led other notable traditional rulers to the event among other dignitaries.
