In his Easter Sermon at Holy Ghost Chapel International, Umuahia, Abia State, which also featured Holy communion service, Rev. Peter Akujuobi who cited the Bible books of John chapter 19 verse 30 and 1st Corinthians chapter 11 verse 23 respectively, encouraged Nigerians to be hopeful for better days ahead, even as the religious leaders continue to work hard for the brighter and more prosperous future that “We aspire for ourselves and future generations”.

Akujuobi who also encouraged Christian faithful to firm hold on the promise of salvation as professed by Jesus Christ, further encouraged them to have faith in each other and to stand brave and united in their journey as a people.

On the overwhelming negative challenges facing the country currently, Akujuobi urged Nigerians to remain strong and resilient and solely put their trust in God, as He remains the final solution to all problems.

Akujuobi who also torched on marital separation, reasoned that when a couple felt that their marriage is now beyond repair, separation should be seen as an option as it helps to create space and relieve feelings of conflict, disappointment, anger, or sadness.

He said instead of dying prematurely in marriage, marital separation should be used mainly as a way to heal a hurting marriage.

Prof. Akujuobi

“Separation is allowed in marriage. Do not go into an arranged or manipulated marriage. Do not enter into a marriage that will be detrimental to you. No marriage is 100 percent smooth because it is a practical thing but any marriage that is built on God stand the test of time”, Akujuobi, who is also the Vice Chancellor of Morris Cerullo Christian University advised.
