Abia State: Children Ministry, ASEPA, Kicks Off “Keep Umuahia Clean Exercise”


In a positive step to promote, maintain and sustain the clean and green status of Abia State, the Children Education Department of Assemblies of God Church, Umuahia in conjunction with the State Environmental Protection Agency, ASEPA launched a “Keep Umuahia Clean Exercise”.

The exercise saw the Children together with ASEPA General Manager, Chief Eze Okwulehie and staff of the agency carry out sanitation exercise in major streets and roads and as well sensitized the residents of Umuahia, the Abia State capital, on the need for a healthy environment.

Speaking during the event, the Assistant Pastor of Assemblies of God Church, 5-8 Item Street Umuahia, Rev. Egbochuo Ndubuisi said the Children ministry of the Church reviewed the strides recorded by ASEPA under the watch of Chief Okwulehie in the area of environmental cleanliness and resolved to partner the agency in that regard.

Responding, the ASEPA General Manager, Chief Eze Okwulehie lauded the Assemblies of God Church Children Education Department for placing the state first even at their tender stage and enjoined other organizations to emulate such virtue, which he described as a welcome development.
