His words, “During our visit to Bangladesh, we went through the  facilities, Faculties and had meetings with the faculty deans of The State University of Bangladesh (SUB).  The SUB has what it takes to give your Children qualitative and stress free Education.

“We visited the Labed Hospital, Nipro Jim Pharmaceuticals and Trust Bank( to seek financial investment Opportunities), we also observed that they have big companies and sophisticated modern machines for garment and leather production. They have block moulding machines that can mould about 1,000 standard and solid blocks per hour, if we can get that, our people in the real estate and construction business will now be able to mould their blocks by themselves faster and cheaper. It only involve our people going to Bangladesh to be trained on how to operate those machines”.

Aruoma however said, “With the MoU, we can have educational exchange programmes, our garment and leather manufacturers can visit there, learn modern ways of making clothes, suits and shirts and the Bangladeshi can also come to Umuahia with their equipment and set-up garment manufacturing Industry, which can also serve not only Abia but the entire Southeast zone.

“Abia shoe markers can also visit shoe manufacturing factories in Bangladesh, learn how they make their shoes, look at their modern equipment and techniques and marry it with what we have from China. Definitely, our ideas for making shoes in Abia State will grow beyond what we have today” .

He expressed optimism that once the collaboration between Abia State and Bangladesh kicks off, it will not only help to pull roaming Abia youths off the streets, but will also pull them off illicit drugs, alcohol and other vices created by unemployment.
