Abia APGA guber primary election Wahala: We’ll go naked if…. – Abia Widows

From TCNEWS

A group known as Abia Widows Association has warned that any uncharitable action against Prof. Gregory Ibe, is an action against them and the commoners.

The group gave the warning in Umuahia, Abia State capital shortly after a peaceful protest to register their dissatisfaction with the Abuja Appeal Court judgement on the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA governorship primary election.

Some of their placards read: “We need Gregory Ibe, Abia looters leave Prof. Ibe alone”;  Judiciary has failed the common man”.

Recall that the Court of Appeal in Abuja had declared that the APGA has no governorship candidate for the 2023 election in Abia State.

A unanimous verdict of a three-member panel of justices read by Justice Stephen Adah on Wednesday ruled that the failure of the party to conduct a valid primary within the time set by law robbed it of the opportunity participate in the elections.

Speaking on behalf of the Widows, Lady Precious Uwaoma, Coordinator Abia Widows Association alleged that the ruling party in the State, the PDP,  APGA chieftain, Sir Chikwe Udensi among others were behind the many headaches faced by Prof. Ibe.

She warned that any further distractions from those who are trying to rob off Abia, the good intentions of Prof. Ibe, will see them go naked.

“It is with deep sorrow in our hearts that we the Abia Widows have gathered here this day being February 10, 2023 to say no to the Abuja Appeal Court judgement on APGA guber primary election in Abia State, nullifying the election which was perfectly won by Prof. Gregory Ikechukwu Ibe as the rightful guber candidate for 2023 governorship election.

“Prof. Gregory Ibe has given hundreds of our children scholarship to University level, free medical outreach and he’s also supporting many Widows and the less privileged in their businesses. He built schools where Abians are been employed. Right now, he is building a teaching hospital from his pockets and not from Abia Treasury.

“Prof. Gregory Ibe is the only governorship candidate of APGA and he is the God’s chosen one to liberate Abia State from its dilapidated situation. He has come to build and not to loot or squander. He has come to better the lives of Abians, the workers, pensioners, the youth and widows. Whoever hates or fights him is fighting the windows.

“So, we’re calling on the APGA National Chairman, Ozonkpu Victor Oye, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, Anambra State Governor and other high ranking APGA officials to properly look into this matter and justify it with godly conscience”, Uwaoma passionately appealed.

Interacting with newsmen also, some of the widows who include: Nneoma Glory Nma Nwosuocha, and Mrs Glory Ege called on Chief Chikwe Udensi, Chief Ahamdi Nweke, Chief Etigwe Uwa, among other APGA members and guber aspirants in the primary election to join hands with Prof. Ibe to build a better Abia.
