The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has recently published a list of accredited medical schools, highlighting the outstanding achievements of Gregory University Uturu.

Pastor Sleek Ogwo, ANIPR, the institution’s Media Head, announced this milestone in a statement titled, “FULL ACCREDITATION OF GREGORY UNIVERSITY UTURU’S COLLEGE OF MEDICINE: A SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE.”

Among the 45 institutions granted full accreditation, Gregory University Uturu distinguishes itself as a paragon of excellence in medical education. This accomplishment underscores the vision and dedication of the institution’s founder, Prof. Gregory Ibe.

Since receiving approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2017, Prof. Ibe has led the development of the College of Health and Medical Sciences, culminating in the construction of a cutting-edge 1000-bed Teaching Hospital. As this facility nears completion, the South East and South South regions are set to become centers for technology-driven health services, significantly reducing medical tourism by providing world-class medical care within Nigeria.

Ogwo emphasized that the full accreditation of Gregory University Uturu’s medical program is a testament to the institution’s dedication to producing highly skilled medical professionals.

“As we celebrate this achievement, we must acknowledge the relentless efforts of Prof. Ibe and his team, who have established Gregory University Uturu as a center of excellence in medical education,” he stated.

This achievement serves as a beacon of hope for the future of healthcare in Nigeria, promising a positive impact on the lives of Nigerians and the broader medical community.
