The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, has issued a stern warning to officers of the Safer Highway Unit and State Traffic against unprofessional conduct, extortion, and incivility towards the public.

He stressed that any officer found guilty of such actions would face strict disciplinary measures.

In alignment with the Inspector General of Police’s directive on enforcing Third-Party Motor Insurance across all states, CP Isa, along with his management team and State Traffic Officers, initiated a rigorous enforcement exercise.

Motorists were required to present their Third-Party Insurance, with the Command urging all vehicle owners in the state to secure valid insurance to avoid legal repercussions.

In a related development, a delegation from the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, led by Controller Mrs. Opara Helen, Ph.D., visited the Commissioner of Police to enhance collaboration between the two institutions.

CP Isa welcomed the delegation, assuring them of ongoing cooperation and support, as stated in a release by DSP Maureen Chinaka, Police Public Relations Officer.
