In a significant stride towards enhancing community safety, Otampa Security Services has successfully apprehended Onyedikachi Ukazu, a resident of Akoba kindred in Otampa, Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, for allegedly stealing a mobile phone.
This arrest underscores the effectiveness of Otampa Security’s community policing efforts, which continue to yield positive results.
According to a statement released by Otampa Security Services and shared with the press, the suspect was publicly paraded through the community, highlighting the organization’s commitment to transparency and justice.
The release detailed that Ukazu, unable to meet the ₦100,000 restitution demand, has offered a sheep, a goat, a mobile phone, and two plastic chairs as part of his penalty.
The statement further noted that Ukazu has been granted a one-month period to fulfill the financial obligation, failing which the pledged items will be forfeited.
Importantly, the stolen mobile phone has been recovered and returned to its rightful owner, demonstrating the swift and effective response of Otampa Security Services.
