The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the schedule for the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream 2 Orientation Course, set to commence nationwide on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Registration will take place from January 22 to January 24, with the swearing-in ceremony slated for Friday, January 24. The course will conclude with a closing ceremony on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
In Abia State, the orientation exercise will be conducted at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Umunna, Bende Local Government Area. Corps employers and those seeking Corps Members are encouraged to submit their requests at the NYSC State Secretariat on Finbarrs’ Road, Umuahia.
State Coordinator Barr. (Mrs.) Gladys Adama, through a press release by Omaka Nnachi (ANIPR), Assistant Director of Information and Public Relations, has appealed to road transport workers, particularly the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), security agencies, and the residents of Abia State to extend their customary hospitality to the incoming Prospective Corps Members.
Prospective Corps Members are reminded to carry the originals of their credentials for registration and to avoid traveling at night. Married female Prospective Corps Members residing with their spouses in Abia State, who have been deployed to other states, may report to the Abia State orientation camp in Umunna with their marital documents for registration.
The public is invited to attend the opening ceremony on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 9:30 a.m.
