In a statement released by his media aide, Pastor Sleek Ogwo, Prof. Gregory Ibe, Founder and Proprietor of Gregory University Uturu, extended heartfelt congratulations to Senator Mbata on his landmark election as the 13th President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
This significant achievement according to Prof. Ibe was underscored by the decisive voice voting that affirmed his leadership.
Prof. Ibe highlighted the new President General’s extensive experience in politics, policy, and diplomacy, gained during his tenure as a senator, which he believes will greatly benefit the leading Igbo socio-cultural organization.
“As the first President General from Ikwerre in Rivers State, your leadership carries high expectations,” Prof. Ibe remarked. “I pledge my partnership and support in advancing the shared goals and objectives of our people.”
He called upon the entire Igbo community to unite in support of Senator Mbata, emphasizing the importance of collective purpose and the achievement of communal goals.
Prof. Ibe stressed the critical nature of Mbata’s leadership at this pivotal moment in history, as efforts are made to build an inclusive nation free from discrimination, segregation, and marginalization.
