The Commissioner of Police for Abia State, CP Danladi Isa, has disbanded the Command’s Anti-Cultism Unit due to unprofessional conduct and incivility towards the public.

This move aligns with the Inspector General of Police’s vision for a competent, service-oriented, and law-abiding police force.

In a related action, Corporal Okonkwo Ebuka, previously assigned to the Area Command in Aba and on special duty in Isuochi, has been demoted to Constable. This decision follows an administrative review where he was found guilty of discreditable and unprofessional behavior.

The announcement, made through a press release by ASP Maureen C Chinaka on behalf of the Commissioner, underscores the Command’s zero-tolerance policy for misconduct that could damage the Force’s reputation.

The public is encouraged by the press release to report any instances of unprofessional conduct by officers to the Complaint Response Unit at Abia Command via 09031593827.
