The President General of the Ahuwa-Oboro autonomous community in the Oboro clan, located in the Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State, Engr. Dr. James Nnadozie Uchegbuo, has expressed a hopeful vision for a peaceful and prosperous Southeast Nigeria.

In a New Year message, Uchegbuo, who is also the President General of a sociocultural organization known as Igbo Vanguard Group, IVG emphasized the importance of fostering positive peace in the region.

He called for increased seminars focused on peacebuilding in the Southeast and praised the establishment of the Southeast Development Commission.

The President General highlighted the crucial role of churches in 2025, urging them to guide the youth by promoting values of perseverance and patience.

He also stressed the responsibility of parents to educate their children about contentment and healthy competition, warning against the dangers that lead to untimely deaths among both parents and their young ones.

Furthermore, he urged non-governmental organizations to actively discourage illegal migration, drug abuse, and child trafficking through community engagement initiatives.

He called on federal, state, and local governments to support skilled business and entrepreneurial education, providing startup resources for interested youths.

Finally, he advised political leaders to demonstrate that politics is a service-oriented endeavour, not a do-or-die affair, and to avoid ostentatious displays of wealth.
