In a New Year message delivered in Umuahia, Abia State, Rev. Dr. Blessed Amalambu, General Overseer of Christ Generation Ministry Incorporated, predicted that 2025 will present greater challenges than previous years.
However, he assured that God’s grace will be abundant for those who adhere to His word and draw closer to Him.
Reflecting on 2024, Amalambu, who also serves as the Assistant Secretary of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Southeast zone, described it as a year fraught with difficulties due to poor government policies.
He lamented that many Nigerians faced severe hardships, with some losing their lives in the struggle for basic necessities, likening the situation to the biblical plight of the Israelites in Egypt.
Amalambu expressed hope for 2025, stating that God has heard the cries of Nigerians.
He urged the faithful to embrace scriptural teachings, citing Deuteronomy 8:18, 2 Corinthians 9:8, and John 10:10, to empower themselves against adversity.
He emphasized the importance of creativity, hard work, and integrity, while condemning fraudulent activities.
He called on gospel preachers to integrate messages of prosperity, obedience, and righteousness in their teachings.
Amalambu also advised the youth to deepen their understanding of the scriptures and allow the Holy Spirit to guide them in their endeavors.
Furthermore, he encouraged Nigerians to pray for themselves and the nation, stressing the need for divine intervention in leadership to foster policies that enhance lives and development.
He attributed issues like looting and embezzlement to a lack of proper prayers for leaders.
As an Executive member of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Amalambu urged corrupt leaders to reform and embrace righteousness in 2025, aspiring to lead with integrity and bring joy to the people through exemplary governance.
