The President General of the Igbo Vanguard Group (IVG), a sociocultural organization, Engr. Dr. James Nnadozie Uchegbuo, has called on Nigerians to embrace the spirit of productivity and progress on December 29, known as “Still Need To Do Day.”
In a conversation with our correspondent in Umuahia, Abia State, he emphasized the importance of utilizing this day to make final checks on year-long “to-do” lists.
He highlighted that the day serves as a reminder of all pending tasks, encouraging people to approach them with a positive mindset.
Records indicate that December 29 was established to prompt us to complete unfinished tasks before transitioning into a new year. In the United States, this day is celebrated annually as ‘Still Need To Do Day,’ providing an opportunity to address the year’s unfinished business.
He urged everyone to conclude the year with the motivation that ‘Still Need To Do Day’ offers, allowing them to tackle tasks that have been postponed.
“It’s a chance to catch up on lingering responsibilities”, Uchegbuo, who is also the President General of Ahuwa-Oboro autonomous community in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State further buttressed the essence of Still Need To Do Day.
He also advised celebrating the day with a symbolic green pencil and motivational check mark to tick off completed tasks.
