The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter of the Peter Obi Harmonization Forum has inaugurated its new Executive Committee, with Mr. Kingsley Kelachukwu Okoronkwo, Ph.D (Mayor), assuming the role of Chairman.

The ceremony, held at the Nigerian National Merit Award in Maitama, Abuja, was graced by dignitaries, including representatives of Mr. Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party Presidential candidate, and other stakeholders.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Okoronkwo committed to uniting all members of the Obidient family in FCT-Abuja and its environs.

He expressed gratitude to Mr. Obi, represented by Dr. Paul Moses, for his unwavering support and guidance.

Mr. Peter Obi, represented by Dr. Moses Paul, commended the organizers and reiterated his dedication to a new Nigeria founded on selfless service and adherence to the rule of law.

Senator Victor Lar, represented by Barr. Dennis Habila Gapsiso, addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of accountability and diligence among leaders for Nigeria’s development.

He welcomed stakeholders from across the FCT and North Central states, urging the new Executive to view their roles as opportunities to serve.

Special Guest of Honour, Senator Ireti Heebah Kingibe, praised the organizers for their resilience amidst economic challenges and encouraged participants to persist in their efforts for quality leadership in Nigeria.

Comrade Sunday Bala Oma, the main speaker, delivered a compelling presentation on innovative solutions for Nigeria’s development challenges, receiving a standing ovation.

The event concluded with Mr. Peter Obi, represented by Dr. Moses Paul, inaugurating the forum, and Engr. Gambo Balarabe, represented by Dr. Elizabeth Ejiogu, expressing readiness to collaborate towards a new Nigeria.

 Goodwill messages were shared by national and regional leaders, reinforcing the forum’s commitment to fostering democratic norms and national unity.

The inauguration summit was a hive of activity, with Mr. Okoronkwo, also the event’s convener, expressing his joy and optimism for the newly formed committee’s harmonious efforts towards achieving their goals. 

Also, the event was deemed a success, with support group leaders in FCT expressing their enthusiasm for Mr. Kingsley’s leadership.
