In a heartfelt ceremony, the Oro Oboro autonomous community, in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State, friends and well-wishers gathered to bid farewell to Late Senior Mother-in-Israel, Elizabeth Ugoji Finess Osondu, née Ndukwe, who passed away at the age of 88.
Known for her unwavering commitment to unity and peace, Elizabeth was a cherished figure in her family, church, and village.
Her legacy of love and harmony was evident as mourners shared stories of her tireless efforts to bring people together.
The funeral service which was conducted by The Eternal Sacred Order Of The Cherubim and Seraphim, ESOCS, Ikwuano /Ndume district, Umuahia province, at Ndoro Primary School, in Ikwuano L.G.A, of Abia State, was a testament to her life’s work, with family members, church leaders, and villagers paying tribute to her enduring spirit and the profound impact she had on their lives.
Elizabeth’s memory will continue to inspire those who knew her, as her teachings of unity remain a guiding light for future generations.
Her remains was later laid to rest in her first son’s compound, Divine Villa in Oro Oboro autonomous community.
The deceased was the mother of a former Administrator, Abia Free Home Health Care Services for Elderly, Dr. Osondu Emenike Chucks, High Chief Dr. Chimezie Nnaoma Osondu, Mother in Israel Gloria Ihunnaya Osondu, High Chief Chris Obih Osondu and the President General of Oro Oboro autonomous community, High Chief Ikechi Onyekachi Osondu (The Super Apostle).
The deceased is also survived by 15 children, 9 sons-in-law, 1 brother in-law, 8 daughters in-law, 54 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
His Eminence, Elder Eden from Cross River State, His Eminence Elder Emmanuel Agomuo officiated during the service.
The Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma, a former legislator who represented Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal constituency, Distinguished Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District, Senator Austin Akobundu, the traditional ruler of Oro Oboro autonomous community, HRM Eze Ralph Ogbonna, HRM King Larry Ogbonnaya Agwu, a former Chairman Oboro clan council of traditional rulers, HRH Ezeoma of Uhaluda Kingdom and other distinguished personalities were also present to pay final respect to the Late Snr. Mother Elizabeth Ugoji Finess Osondu, a woman whose life exemplified grace, wisdom, and a deep commitment to the welfare of others.
The outing thanksgiving service was held on Sunday December 22nd, 2024 at ESOCS Church, opposite Abia State University Campus, Umudike, Oboro.
