Umuahia, Nigeria – Sir and Lady Ansel Ikenna Amaihe are poised to receive the prestigious Knighthood Order of St. Christopher by the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Diocese of Umuahia.
The investiture ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, December 28, 2024, at St. Stephen’s Cathedral, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the Diocese.
The event will be officiated by His Lordship, Rt. Rev’d. Dr. Geoffrey Obijuru Ibeabuchi, who will lead the ceremony honouring the Amaihes for their notable contributions to the church and community.
In a heartfelt congratulatory message, Mr. Indiana and Mrs. Chioma Amaihe praised Sir Ikenna’s dedication and exceptional character. They described the investiture as a well-deserved recognition of his service and accomplishments, wishing the couple well in this new chapter of their lives. “May the good Lord continue to grant the Diocesan and Mama Umuahia long life and a fruitful episcopacy. Enyi, may your new status as a Knight in God’s Church remind you of your noble ideals and inspire you to continue making a positive impact in the world,” their message stated.
Elder/Chief Agbai Egbuta Kalu of Okagwe Ohafia also conveyed his congratulations to Sir Ikenna and his wife, Lolo Nnenna Amaihe, referring to her as a “BEAUTIFUL ANGEL.” He affirmed the honour as well-deserved, encouraging the recipient to uphold the values embraced by the Order of Saint Christopher.
Rev’d. Canon Engr. Nelson Amaihe, the honoree’s younger brother and Vicar of Christ Church, Bende, remarked upon Sir Ikenna’s consistent display of the qualities of a Levitical leader. He pointed out that the honoree’s dedication to God and community service sets a positive example for future generations.
On behalf of the Amaihe family, Rev. Canon Amaihe extended their heartfelt congratulations, emphasizing the pride they feel in Sir Ikenna’s achievements. “As a family, we are unwaveringly proud of your election as Knight in God’s Church. You are a blessing to our family and the Church of God,” the message read.
