Amidst the harsh economic realities currently affecting many people and the Society, a Nongovernmental Organization known as The Straight Child Foundation, TSCF has spread Christmas cheers and lots of love to special children in Abia State.

The Foundation distributed writing aids/materials, man-made cleaning substances, food, clothing, toiletries, and other items during the special outreach to the Special Education Centre for the Blind, St. Vincent De Paul, and the School of Special Needs, all in Umuahia, Abia State capital.

Speaking during the outreach which has the theme,  “Take the Celebration to the children”, the TSCF Team Lead, Dr Uchenna Oluwatosin, said the Foundation believes in building an inclusive community where every child feels seen, loved, and valued.

She enjoined Nigerians to join in the Foundation’s mission of lightening up the world and to build an ecosystem of a life without limits.

She also called for more support in the application of digital technologies for the empowerment of learners, especially children with disabilities and capacity building for their teachers.

She described the outreach as a heartwarming experience filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful connections.

Responding respectively, the Principal Special Education Centre For the Blind, Bernadette Onyeoghaziiri, the Instructor Special Education Centre For the Blind, SIlas Adaeze, appreciated the vision bearer of the Foundation, Dr. Mrs Peace Amaraegbulam and the team for the humanitarian service and prayed God to continue to bless and strengthen The Straight Child Foundation.
