The Executive Chairman of Umuahia South LGA, of Abia State Engr Chinedu Philip Enwereuzo, has enjoined members of Association of Professional Photographers, Abia State (APPAS) to believe in themselves and to make professionalism their watchword.
Enwereuzo, who threw the challenge during this year photo festival held in Umuahia, maintained that photography is a noble profession, hence the need for the APPAS to always improve themselves in the profession.
He disclosed that his life journey started as a photographer not minding that people don’t believe him because of his rising profile.
He thanked the Association for honouring him with APPAS Personality award of the year and promised to always contribute his quota to the profession that gave him quantum leap.
Earlier in his address, the Association President, Comrade Destiny Dende thanked Governor Alex Otti and people of Umuahia South for finding one of their own worthy to serve in his Government at this time.
Comrade Dende used the forum to commend Governor Alex Otti on his numerous giant stride in the state within a period of 18 months as Governor of the the state and assured him of the support of the association at all times.
In a brief speech, the Chairman Planning Committee Mr Kenneth Chinweoke Oriji. appreciated all who in one way the other contributed to the success of the events particularly the the Mayor, Umuahia South and his brother Deputy Mayor Ikwuano LGA Abia State for attending in person.
The event which witnessed the presence of the cream de la cream in the photo industry in the state and beyond, featured lectures and goodwill messages from members – Mr. Iheanyi Iyamah, Ebony snapping kingdom, Mr. Onyekachi Kingsley Ahabuike JVC Television, Mr. E.U Utah, Chinedu & bros media ,Mr Gideon thinkgee images, Mr. Paul Ogah, Mr Joshua Emeziem. Jentle jeo media and others.
High point of the events was the award of personality of the year awards to the mayor Umuahia South LGA, the Deputy Mayor Ikwuano LGA Abia State, Hon Lucky Awuwa, Mr Denga Uchechi Nduaguibe, others and inauguration of the 2025 Electoral committee members of the Association.
