The Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical province of Aba, Anglican communion, Church of Nigeria, His Grace, Most Rev. Isaac Nwaobia, Ph.D has called for more disciplined and productive workers in Umuahia Diocese.

Speaking at St. Stephen’s cathedral, Umuahia, during the 30th anniversary celebration eucharistic thanksgiving service and launching of anniversary project, Archbishop Nwaobia, who spoke on the theme of the anniversary, “Mission Renewal”, encouraged the Anglican faithful to influence all other churches around them, as their mandate is to evangelize and conquer Umuahia zone for Christ.

Archbishop Nwaobia who referenced the Bible books of Galatians chapter 6 verse 7; Philippines chapter 1 verses 3, 6 and 9, enjoined the Diocese to take a stock and assess themselves and get ready for the next 30 years.

“There should be capacity building for the priests, once there is no discipline, the Diocese will be in disarray”, the Archbishop Nwaobia said, just as he prayed God to give the Diocese people with financial muscle to move the Diocese forward.

In his speech, the Anglican Bishop of Umuahia Diocese, Anglican communion, The Rt. Rev. Geoffrey Ibeabuchi appreciated God’s faithfulness in the Diocese in the past 30 years and prayed for His divine grace and guidance in the years ahead.

In a brief remark, Sir Frank Ibe, the Diocesan Chairman 30th anniversary celebration planning committee, appreciated God’s divine wisdom which aided the committee to plan and also have a successful event.

He appreciated the various contributions of the Fathers of the Church towards the successful and steady growth of the Diocese.

The Security Aide to Governor Alex Otti, Mr. Macdonald Ubah, Chief Obi Aguocha, member representing Ikwuano/ Umuahia Federal Constituency among other notable dignitaries attended the event
