On October 27th, Light of the World Spring Church Assembly, LOWSCA celebrated her 15 year anniversary.
The whole day was a celebration of God’s faithful and goodness, which included the recognition and honour of individuals who have contributed to the Ministry, issuance of ordination certificates, cutting of anniversary celebration cake, as well as ending the day with a prestigious decoration of Apostle Hillary Israel, the Vision Bearer for the church with “THE AMBASSADOR OF CHRIST” by Chaplain Rev. Raphael Ezigbo, from the College of Chaplains, Abia State Zonal Command.
Speaking during the ceremony held at Light of the World Spring Church Assembly hall, Ofeke Azueke Ndume Ibeku off Ikot Ekpene road by Ahiaeke junction, Umuahia, Apostle Israel, disclosed that God’s sustaining Grace is the power that keeps him and his Ministry going, even when he feel like giving up.
Israel, who pointed out that sustaining grace of God is the power to do the right thing when you don’t feel like doing the right thing, added that the grace of God does not merely save believers, “but it also continues to sustain, empowers our lives, and gives us the ability to stand firm”.
“After the total liberation of Ofeke, God gave us the land where we are now through the hand of His servant Rev. Okezie Nwaubani.
“Our vision and mission is to take the word of truth that is the word of God into remote areas, communities, states and nations especially where idol worship is still in operation, and to liberate them from demonic bondage, ancestral curses, pulling down their idols or demonic altars and raising the altar of God the Most High.
“To give hope to the orphans and less privileged ones we met in the remote areas. Establish a God fearing school where they can be taught and receive hope for their future. To establish an apostolic and prophetic bible institutes where missionaries and ministers of the Gospel will be trained.
“All in these 15 years, we have been able to train not less than 14 Pastors and eight Evangelists internally and externally while most of these Pastors are already serving in different branches of this commission”, he stated.
Apostle Israel (God’s Hammer Bearer), expressed that the church is thanking God in a special way for making it possible for them to attain 15 years since its existence.
He said the church of God is marching forward and remains thankful to God, who makes all things possible at His time.
Earlier in a sermon captioned “Necessity of Power”, with text drawn from the Bible books of Isaiah chapter 45 verse 1; John chapter 10 verse 40; and Genesis chapter 1 verses 26 to 28, the preacher, Pastor Chibuike Ekwonna, who espoused and expounded the essence of holding God tenaciously, said that anything that is working fine anywhere has a force backing it.
According to him, Christian faithful needs to power of God to scale through the present world that is filled with wickedness.
Members of International Ministers Forum, Abia State chapter, Hon Tony Onyenweaku, the President General of, Azueke Autonomous Community, Mr. Ekpo Ekejiuba, the President General of Ohuhu Solidarity Forum, Mr. Innocent Uguru, the Chairman of Ofeke village, among other notable dignitaries graced the occasion.
