It would be recalled that the timely intervention of McArthur Okorocha, saved two kids, aged 4 and 6, from sustaining severe injuries when a pack of four dogs called Staffies, attacked them in Orpington in London.
McArthur Okorocha’s courage was said to have saved the day after he saw two kids aged four and six, plus a 30-year-old woman being attacked by the dogs on Mickleham Road, Orpington, at around 9am on that fateful morning.
According to his narration, he heard screaming and shouting from the neighbours across the road as well as the mum shouting to the girl to ‘get out’ and ‘run out, even as he saw the dogs biting the girl, and was left with no other choice than to rush over there and separate the girl from the dog when he noticed there was another little boy, being bitten by the dogs.
The young hero said he made daring efforts to free the victims even as he got the neighbours to call the police, disclosing that he heard someone describe the dogs as a “Staffie”.
He had added the dogs were all the same breed and described them as “very big dogs”, saying that he got one of the children to safety while the mum got the other child into a car to get away from the animals.
He said he wasn’t scared, adding that the immediate goal was just to get the kids out of there even though he described the escapade as being a bit too dangerous because they needed to protect themselves as well.
