Christians have been charged put on a good life and draw closer to God.
The Abia State Overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Ikechukwu Ibe, gave the charge during the funeral service of Late Mr. Kenneth Chuks Chidozie Okezie Meregini, held at Umuana-Ndume (Meregini’s compound).
Aged 64, Late Mr. Kenneth Chuks Chidozie Okezie Meregini, was the elder brother of the Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly and member representing Umuahia East State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Austin Okezie Meregini.
Pastor Ikechukwu Ibe, who took the text of his homily from the Bible book of Hebrew chapter 9 verse 27, enjoined the bereaved family and mourners to put their trust in God and face the demise of Mr. Kenneth with confidence in God, who resurrects the righteous at the resurrection morning.
The homilist who tasked the gathering to choose where they would want to spend eternity, pointed out that God has set aside a day when all the dead in Christ shall rise from the graves with heavenly bodies to glory.
Member representing Umuahia Central State Constituency, Hon. Anthony Chinasa (Abiola); Member representing Ohafia South State Constituency, Hon. Mba Nwoke; Ugochinyere Age grade, Ndume; the Disabled Group; Labour Party, Umuahia North L.G.A among others attended the funeral service.
