Umuahia North Council of Traditional Rulers have unveiled plans for the joint Ohuhu/Ibeku 2024 new yam (iri ji Umuahia) festival
Accordingly, the festival will hold on the 18th day of September, 2024.

The Chairman Central Organizing Committee, HRM Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu, of Umudiawa ancient kingdom, Ohuhu clan stated this while interacting with media men at the Umuahia North Council headquarters, the venue for the program (as the festival will be at the local government headquarters).

The Diawa 1 of Umudiawa, disclosed that this year’s festival will be exceptional as there will be many cultural recreational activities springing from the two sisters clan that made up Umuahia North L.G.A, that is Ibeku clan and Ohuhu clan.
