The Assistant District Rotaract Representative ADRR, Zone 3, District 9142, Rotaractor Blessing Martins, has tasked the young women to embrace and practice the concept of goodwill and trust in their relationship.

National Girlfriend Day is celebrated annually on August 1, a day to recognize and cherish the love, appreciation, and connection between partners. It’s a wonderful opportunity to show your girlfriend how much she means to you, whether through a surprise date, a heartfelt message, or a thoughtful gesture.
The ADRR who differentiated the genuine female friendships which are essential for personal growth and happiness.and the very bad one, which is filled with jealousy and ill-intentions, advised young girls to be good to their friends as no one knows what the future has in stock.
She further tasked the young girls to make positive remarks and good commendations/recommendations on behalf of their friends, particularly in their absence.
Rotr. Blessing Martins who also observed that the day did not only highlight the essential support and companionship female friendship provide, but also focused on celebrating the joys of female friendships and the importance of women supporting each other.
According to records, the history of National Girlfriend Day kick-started as a way to celebrate and appreciate the bonds of friendship and love among women.
Various claims about the origins of this day exist, with some saying it was initiated by Mistress Susan in 2004 as a tribute to her friends, while others attribute it to Allie Savarino Kline and Sally Rodgers, who claimed to have created the day in 2006 through their now-defunct website, Sisterwoman.com.
