A 3-day special Prayer Summit for the sustenance of the divine intervention of God in the political history of Abia State has been held with an assurance to Abians of a radical positive change in all sectors of the state.

Interacting with newsmen at the end of the summit captioned, “Operation No Going Back To Bondage”, held at the Michael Okpara auditorium, Umuahia, the Coordinator, Abia Prayer for Change, Rev. Nwachukwu Ekemeziem, said that the summit offered them the avenue to gather together in search of God’s greater help and enabling grace for more of, and sustainability of the awesome progress already taking place in the state.

Ekemeziem, who espoused and expounded the theme of the summit, also described the summit as a shared spiritual journey of growth and renewal.

“The theme of this summit came based on revelation. There are revelations that the enemies are striving to pull Abia State back and God said never will that happen, that we should embark on a three day prayer summit to stop that wicked move”

According to him, Abia Prayer for Change has a special assignment of sustaining the hand of God in the administration of Governor Alex Otti at the Altar of prayer.

Speaking also, the Treasurer of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN Abia State chapter and the Southeast region Assistant Secretary of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN Rev. Blessed Amalambu, observed that the prayers made during the summit were scripturally and divinely guided and lauded the organizers for doing a good articulation and packaging.

He reminded the congregation that their selfless service for good of the state will not go unrewarded.

He expressed faith that the end result of the 17 candle sticks which represents the local government areas of the state lightened during the prayers, would be sustainable development, unity and oneness of purpose.

Interacting with newsmen also, Pastor Joseph Obinna, described Abia Prayer for Change as a body raised by God to pray, to sustain the progress He has began in the state.

“We are no longer praying for the deliverance of Abia because Abia has been delivered and having delivered Abia State from the bondage, we are calling on God not to allow any force to track the state back to bondage”, he said.
